MISSION:

If elected, I will implement many changes in both the activities and attitudes of the Muskegon County Drain Commissioner’s office.  These changes are past due, and are needed in order to restore public confidence in the office and to bring the office into the modern era.

• I will make myself more available to officials, farmers, developers, environmental groups, as well as the general public, by expanding the drain commissioner’s office hours;
  

• I will hold myself accountable to the public and their elected officials on a continual basis, and will administer the office according to all state and local statutes and regulations;

• I will forge alliances with groups such as the Muskegon Conservation District and the GVSU Water Resources Institute to assess problems and solutions together, even when I must act unilaterally;

• I will make the drain office’s resources accessible to all, and where those resources need to be created or updated, I will make that the top priority of my first term in office.
